Send Me A Postcard Darling is an exhibition of postcard-sized art. From 22 to 28 October 2010, more than 50 artists will be on display at Red Gate Gallery in South London. All manner of styles and media will be on display, with everything measuring just six inches by four inches.
As well as being restricted to producing something the size of your average postcard, all the artists are being encouraged to price their work as affordably as possible. With such a diverse range of pieces available, you'll be sure to find something that catches your eye but doesn't break the bank.
Send Me A Postcard Darling is inspired by similar postcard shows which have taken place in New York and Nottingham.
The show is being run by Laura Ward and James Higgott. Laura was one of the organisers of the 2009 Apollo Project, in which a group of artists turned an unused shop into an art gallery for a month. James is a local musician and photographer.
