The big small idea
Send Me A Postcard Darling is an exhibition of photographers, painters, illustrators and textile artists working within the size restrictions of the postcard. All manner of styles and media will be on display – the only common ground will be their size: 6" x 4".
The show will be inexpensive for artists and buyers alike. Submission will cost as little as £10 and we are asking artists to price their work as affordably as possible to encourage people to open their wallets and purses. There will also be no commission on works sold.
The artists
The confirmed artists are Mark Burton, Emma Campbell, Robert Fitzmaurice, Carne Griffiths, Claire Higgott, Jonny Hughes, Viveca Koh LRPS, Lulu Parent, John Riordan, David Sampson, She Makes War, Ellie Smith, Laura Ward and about 40 others.
When and where?
Send Me A Postcard Darling will take place from 22–28 October 2010 at the Red Gate Gallery, 209a Coldharbour Lane, London SW9 8RU.
